FLEXiT is an innovative platform developed by NTUA to assess and forecast energy flexibility at both building and device level. It empowers stakeholders with insights, enabling optimized energy decisions and demand response strategies.
Powered by machine learning, NILM, and flexibility indicators, FLEXiT transforms energy data into actionable recommendations. Explore more in the sections below.
Uses building-level historical consumption & production data to compute hourly flexibility bounds with LSTM forecasts and Energy Flexibility Indicators (EFIs). Enables energy management suggestions up to 7 days in advance.
Applies NILM and Denoising Autoencoders (DAEs) to disaggregate 3-hour forecasts into appliance-level time-series and calculates EFIs at 15-minute resolution.
Includes pilots in Greece, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Austria, Romania, and Ireland.
FLEXiT serves a diverse range of energy professionals and organizations
Optimize energy use across residential and commercial properties
Monitor and manage energy consumption in large buildings
Develop comprehensive energy-saving strategies for clients
Leverage flexibility for effective demand response programs
Analyze complex energy data using ML & AI technologies
FLEXiT offers deep visibility into energy usage dynamics. From high-level forecasts to fine-grained disaggregation and real-time flexibility evaluation.
Comprehensive API documentation is available for developers.
